Greensboro: A City of Generosity, Compassion and Hope
Rev. Myron W. Wilkins is the President and Executive Director of Greensboro Urban Ministry, located in Greensboro, NC since 1967. He has held this position since June, 2015. Greensboro Urban Ministry is a local, faith-based nonprofit agency dedicated to helping people who are impacted by poverty; homelessness and hunger find help, hope and long-term solutions.
Myron is a native of Philadelphia, PA. He holds a BA in Social Work Degree from Westchester University and a Masters of Social Work Degree from Temple University. He comes to Greensboro following 12 years of fruitful service in Chattanooga, TN where he served as a pastor and nonprofit executive. He has traveled extensively throughout the United States serving as a public speaker and leadership mentor with a focus on matters related to faith and the transformation and empowerment of underserved, low-income communities.
Myron shares his life and work with his wife of 31 years, Anna. They have three sons, ages 19, 26 and 29.
