Guilford County Economic Development Wins and School Bond Update
Pat Tillman was first elected to the Guilford County Board of Education as the District 3 representative in 2016 and re-elected in 2020 for a second term.
In 2022, Tillman was elected to the Guilford County Board of County Commissioners where he is currently serving a 4 year term in District 3. Tillman currently works as the Director of Sales & Marketing for PHD Laboratories based in Charlotte. Tillman also serves as the Vice-Chair for The Heroes Center, a 501c3 nonprofit whose mission is to help our Veterans.
In 2019, Pat was appointed by the Governor’s office to serve on the NC Safer Schools Task Force, helping to ensure our schools provide a safe and healthy learning environment for all school children.
He is the father of three children. His youngest son is a Freshman at Grimsley High School (Go Whirlies). His two daughters are in College at George Washington University and UNCW, respectively.
Tillman served as a combat veteran in the United States Marines with the 2nd Marine Expeditionary Force – Anbar Province Iraq with two tours of duty, 2003 and 2005.
During his 14 years in the U.S. Marine Reserves, he served as a staff non-commissioned officer serving in multiple leadership capacities including platoon sergeant, platoon commander, instructor/trainer and as a long-range military planning liaison. Tillman is now serving with the NC National Guard.
