Megasites
Mike Solomon is the Director of Economic Development for North Carolina for the Timmons Group, a site and civil engineering consulting firm with offices throughout North Carolina and Virginia. He is a graduate of Virginia Tech, earing a BS in Civil Engineering and an MS in Environmental Engineering. He has been a professional engineer in four states and has 40 years of experience in civil and environmental engineering.
Originally from Raleigh, Sam Simpson is a graduate of UNC – Chapel Hill, where he later returned to earn his MBA from
The Kenan Flagler School of Business. He has been alicensed NC real estate broker since 1996. Sam began his career in commercial real estate working with Property Resources, a full service real estate firm that was sold to CB Richard Ellis (now CBRE) in 1997. Later that year he co-founded Simpson & Schulman Commercial Real Estate.
In 2014, he created Simpson Commercial, which has operations in Greensboro and Charlotte. Simpson Commercial provided development consulting and real estate services for the 2,000 acre Greensboro
Randolph Megasite. Current Projects include Riverbend in Charlotte, a $200 million multi-use development that will host Corning Fiber Optic Communications HQ, 320k sf of retail and 600 residential units.
