New Creative Investment and the Creative Economy
ArtsGreensboro is led by Laura Way as its president and CEO. Laura has over 20 years of experience in nonprofit management, with a finely-tuned set of skills and expertise in relationship building, accounting, art management, brand management, budgeting, directing, event management, financial management, fundraising, grant writing, human resources, leadership, communication & marketing, materials management, personnel management, policy analysis, board development, and strategic planning.
Prior to joining ArtsGreensboro, Laura led GreenHill Center for North Carolina Art for 10 years, was the vice president of advancement at McColl Center for Art and Innovation. She moved to North Carolina in 2000 to work at Penland School of Craft as its Director of Operations and Finance.
Laura earned an MBA from Syracuse University and a BA in Economics from LeMoyne College. Laura is an active member of the Rotary Club of Greensboro.
