The Past, Present, and Future of Elon Law

Zak Kramer joined the Elon University School of Law in Summer 2023 to serve as Dean and Professor of Law. Dean Kramer joined Elon Law from Arizona State University, where he was the Jonathan and Wendy Rose Professor of Law, as well as Interim Dean, Executive Associate Dean, Associate Dean of Faculty, and Associate Dean of Intellectual Life. Before ASU, Dean Kramer taught at Penn State, the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, and UCLA School of Law. A scholar of civil rights law, Dean Kramer’s written work has appeared in the California Law Review, the Duke Law Journal, and the Northwestern University Law Review, among other leading law journals. In 2019, Dean Kramer published his first book, Outsiders: Why Difference is the Future of Civil Rights (Oxford University Press).
