Sheriff Danny H. Rogers was sworn into the office on December 3, 2018. He is a native of High Point, North Carolina with a high school education from Southwest Guilford High School, college degrees in Theology and Criminal Justice, and a Master of Science degree in Criminal Justice and Executive Management from Walden University. He worked as a business owner and law enforcement officer for years with the Guilford County Sheriff’s Office and the High Point Police Department prior to being elected.

He has a passion for working in the community and setting goals towards solutions that will bring positive transformations in the lives of children and their families. His vision as the sheriff is to reduce crime, provide safe streets and neighborhoods, stop drug activity, adequately address mental health issues, and make sure every citizen receives equal protection under the law. His vision as a human being is to model that every child, every person, can reach their highest goals if they are willing to work hard, remain in school, follow the rules, listen to their parents and teachers, earn good grads by studying, and always treat others with kindness and respect.

Sheriff Rogers is proof that dreams are possible, and no challenge is too great.
