Mark Brazil, Wyndham Championship Tournament Director

• Born and raised in Asheville, N.C.
• 1990 alumnus of Baylor University; B.S. in political science
• Worked at the American Junior Golf Association (PGA TOUR & LPGA TOUR of junior golf) from 1993-2001.  Last position with the AJGA was executive vice president of development.
• Hired by the Greensboro Jaycees in October 2001 as tournament director; now is employed by the Piedmont Triad Charitable Foundation, the host organization of the Wyndham Championship.
• Member of:
  • The Piedmont Triad Partnership board of directors
  • The First Tee of the Triad board of directors
  • The Greensboro Sports Foundation board of directors
  • The American Junior Golf Association board of directors
  • Tournament Advisory Council board of directors (PGA TOUR tournament directors)
• Golfweek Magazine named Brazil to its inaugural “40 under 40” list of executives who will most likely shape the future of the golf industry in 2000.
• Brazil is the father of three children.
• Received the AJGA J.R. “Digger” Smith Award in 2019, the highest honor in junior golf
