Driving Prosperity Through Transport & Infrastructure Solutions
Martin Weissburg was named president of Mack Trucks and chairman of Volvo Group North America on June 1, 2018. He is a member of the Volvo Group Executive Board, reporting to Volvo Group president and CEO Martin Lundstedt. Prior to his current role, Weissburg served from January 2014 as president of Volvo Construction Equipment, a global Volvo Group company that includes three brands – Volvo, SDLG and Terex Trucks. Previously, Weissburg served as global president and CEO of Volvo Financial Services from 2010 to 2013, after joining the Volvo Group in 2005 as president of Volvo Financial Services Americas.
Weissburg began his business career with Caterpillar Inc. when he was recruited by the company to take part in its management trainee program upon graduation from Purdue University. After earning his MBA, he went on to serve as president of Great Dane Financial, a division of the U.S. commercial trailer manufacturer, and president of furniture manufacturer Woodard LLC.
He currently serves on the board of the National Association of Manufacturers. Weissburg is the father of three daughters. He is headquartered in Greensboro, North Carolina.
