Update on NC Public School Athletics

Joe Franks graduated from Grimsley High School in 1978 where he was a student trainer. He attended Clemson University and was a student trainer there from 1978-1983. Joe taught at Grimsley for 30 years and served as their athletic trainer for 17 years before getting into coaching. He served as an assistant football coach for 6 years, men’s golf coach for 17 years, and women’s golf coach for 10 years. Joe has been working for the North Carolina Coaches Association since 1987. Joe is married to Dr. Tiffany Franks. They reside in Danville, VA where Tiffany is the President of Averett University.
