Gary Everhart

CART – Coins for Alzheimer’s Research Trust

Gary Everhart Jr. is husband of 12 years to Carrie, and father to Miss Emerson (7) and her little brother Oliver (4).  If you were at District Conference in Roanoke a couple of years ago, you couldn’t miss them because they probably shook you down for loose change with a blue CART bucket in their hands.

Gary has been a member of Guilford Rotary since 2003, and served on the board as New Generations chair for several years.  in 2011, he was asked to represent our wonderful District 7690 for the CART Fund, and he has been active promoting the cause ever since.  CART stands for Coins for Alzheimer’s Research Trust, which Gary will be talking about.

He enjoys playing golf, soccer, supporting his kids on the Grandover Griffins swim team, and stays in shape primarily by staying active in a men’s group that meets early mornings in Greensboro called F3, which stands for Fitness, Faith and Fellowship.  Gary is on the board of the local Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and his family attends Westover church in Greensboro, where Gary teaches 3rd graders in Sunday school.  Gary spent over two decades in the life and health industry running his company, Family Security Corporation.  He now works with Thrivent Financial, a faith-based financial services company that helps their members be wise with money so they can be more generous.
