Visual Art as a Catalyst for Collaboration: Building Partnerships Through Creativity

A native of Cedar Falls, NC, Keyshia found her calling in Greensboro, where her passion for nonprofits blossomed after moving here for college. She graduated from Bennett College with a degree in Piano Performance and a double minor in Visual Arts and Sociology. Later pursuing graduate studies in Nonprofit Management at High Point University, before ultimately earning a Post Baccalaureate Certificate in Nonprofit Management from UNCG.

As an Engagement & Annual Giving Officer at Cone Health, Keyshia focuses on increasing donor engagement through targeted campaigns and solicitations. In addition to her fundraising work, she leads efforts to bring original, local art to various newly constructed Cone Health facilities across the health system through community involvement, donor engagement, and an emphasis on building connections that drive impact.

Before her career at Cone Health, Keyshia held leadership roles in philanthropy at the Greensboro Symphony Orchestra, United Way of Greater Greensboro, and Black Child Development Institute of Greensboro. A founding member of Vivace, the Greensboro Symphony’s young professionals’ group, she also recently served on the Boards of the NC Triad Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals and the Women’s Professional Forum Foundation.

Outside of work, Keyshia enjoys teaching piano to young learners and leading initiatives in several volunteer organizations that reflect her and her husband Charles’ shared commitment to service and community. As a wife, mother, and nonprofit leader, she strives to build a legacy of impact through meaningful relationships and purposeful engagement.
