Debra C. Farrington, Chief of Staff for NC Medicaid, is a native North Carolinian reared and educated in rural Columbus County, N.C. She received both a bachelor and masters degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. As chief of staff, Debra provides support and leadership on overall program vision, strategic direction and engagement with people supported by and providers of Medicaid services.

Mrs. Farrington and her husband, Joe are proud parents of two children; one a graduate of UNC Charlotte and the younger a graduate of The North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University.
