241 (two for one): Two Programs in One Meeting – Afghan Family Update and Wheels for Hope

This week we have two mini programs.  Reverend Mike Aiken will bring us up to date on the Afghan family.  Also, we’ll hear from Wheels4Hope that helps families like our Afghan family secure transportation necessary for employment.

Wheels4Hope is a referral program in Greensboro that takes in donated vehicles and refurbishes them to sell to economically-vulnerable families.

Our speaker, Adriane Scott-Singleton,  is the Hub Manager of the Triad office. She believes transportation is key to economic stability and has seen how the program has impacted hundreds of her clients.  Her passion is to help families on the road to success through the Wheels4Hope car program.  The best part of her job is to see how families are able to pull themselves out of poverty after obtaining a donated car.
