Hunter Layne, “Immigration and the Impact on Greensboro and North Carolina” (August 16)

August 16, 2023 @ 12:30 pm - 1:30 pm

Hunter Layne, Director of Development and Community Building, FaithAction International

Immigration and the Impact on Greensboro and North Carolina

Hunter has worked with immigrant communities as a result of his wife’s K1 visa journey beginning in Maryland’s Eastern Shore almost 10 years ago. Through her experiences, he began to volunteer with other immigrant-serving organizations. Moving up and down the east coast, he was able to see and learn from underserved communities and strives to aid their families.

Hunter graduated from Liberty University with a B.S. in Criminal Justice with a minor in Psychology. He is an Eagle Scout and Vigil Honor member of the Boy Scouts of America.

Hunter is inspired by Washington’s vision in Hamilton: “Everyone shall sit under their own vine and fig tree and no one shall make them afraid. They’ll be safe in the nation we’ve made,” come to fruition. He works with donors, sponsors, and foundations to ensure the monetary stability of FaithAction International, raising funds to deliver the mission.
