Family-Friendly Adventures: A Fast Tour of Multi-Generational Travel

Christie Soper is the founder and CEO of Suncierge, a Greensboro-based travel services company that enthusiastically provides unforgettable comprehensive travel design and innovative concierge services. Suncierge helps travelers who aspire to get away, yet want to delegate the planning details to a full-service expert who anticipates all their needs before, during and after the adventure.

Christie left Lincoln Financial after 20 years to follow her passion and turn her hobby of travel planning into a successful young business that is on a mission to help singles, couples, families and friends escape, immerse and rebond. Inspired by rarely having time to plan a proper vacation while juggling work, family and community commitments in the past, Christie and her team now serve their clients by acting as traveler advocates who offer a worldwide network of travel partners and provide concierge services such as vacation rental vetting, pet sitting, house cleaning, and even grocery stocking the day clients return home from their journeys.

Today Suncierge’s value proposition is rooted in creating immersive, uncommon, and safety-minded experiences for lifelong memories. In June, Suncierge’s proprietary mobile app was announced as a finalist in an international travel industry competition for Innovation in Client Service Experience. Most impressively though, Suncierge has yet to meet a request they couldn’t assist with, including a marriage proposal in Marie Antoinette’s estate at Versailles with Belgian milk chocolate cake, roses and champagne. (And the answer was yes!)

Before Suncierge, Christie co-founded Lincoln’s Women’s Leadership and Asian Business Resource Groups and is a Women’s Professional Forum member. She serves and has served on boards for the GreenHill Center for NC Art, Children’s Home Society and Greensboro Children’s Museum, as a speaker’s bureau member for the Women’s Resource Center, and as a Women’s Executive Connection panelist and planning committee member for the Chamber.

Christie is a certified Project Management Professional and holds an Elon MBA, a master’s certificate in IT project management from George Washington, and a diversity management certificate from Cornell. In September, she will complete the highly reputed Virtuoso Certified Travel Advisor (VCTA). When not planning unforgettable getaways for clients around the world, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Dave, their four children and their one year-old grandson.
