The Power of Proximity: Understanding Real Stories of Homelessness

Brian Hahne joined Partners Ending Homelessness (PEH) as its Executive Director on January 3, 2017. Hahne came to PEH from Veterans Helping Veterans Heal, a Winston-Salem non-profit organization that restores home, health and spirit for homeless veterans, where he served as Executive Director since 2014.

In his role as Executive Director, Hahne is responsible for the professional leadership and management of PEH, the collaborative applicant for the Guilford County homelessness Continuum of Care. Hahne provides and fosters coordination and cooperation among diverse groups, including working with representatives of both public and private sectors of the community. The primary focus is to build capacity, strengthen partnerships and further the systematic development of the process of ending homelessness in Guilford County.

Bringing nearly 15 years of professional experience working with paid and volunteer staff in nonprofit, academic, and faith-based organizations, Hahne holds a Bachelors degree from Furman University and Masters degrees from UNC-Greensboro and Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. He and his wife, Sarah, have three sons and live in Winston-Salem.
