Welcome to Gso Rotary

Welcoming some of our newest members to Greensboro Rotary!

Wilson Lester, sponsored by Bob Newton, joined our club in September. Originally from Clearwater, FL, he attended Ragsdale HS locally prior to earning a BBA from Greensboro College and a MS in Management, Strategy, and Leadership from Michigan State University. Since April 2016, he has been the Executive Director of Greensboro Community Development Fund; his previous professional experience includes entrepreneurial efforts specializing in marketing and product placement as well as management of grant programs for the Dept. of Education for veterans starting businesses in the Triangle. He and his wife Jasmine have two daughters 8 and 4. Wilson enjoys hunting, deep sea fishing in the Florida Keys, and cooking. His classification is Community Funding.

Daniel Finnegan, sponsored by Kim Record, joined our club in December. A graduate of James Madison University with a BS in Communications Arts, Danny is the Editor and Publisher of The News & Record. He and his wife Carolyn Guilfoyle have two children and moved to Greensboro last year from Richmond, where Danny had spent time with a variety of civic activities. Locally he has gotten involved with youth basketball and swimming, serves on the NC Press Association board, and has been a News & Record volunteer at community events such as the Christmas Parade, the Festival of Lights, Folk Festival, Voices for a Stronger Guilford, and the Wyndham. He loves history, reading, politics, movies, hiking, exploring area parks, and his Lab mix, describing himself as a “dog guy.” A strong writer, capable facilitator and public speaker, and good negotiator, Danny is looking forward to being involved with Rotary. His classification is Publisher.

Vincenzo Scocuzza, sponsored by Hugh Jones, joined the club in November. He is a native of Italy who has recently settled in Greensboro after 16 years in the USA. He goes by Vincent and is the Vice President of Sales & Marketing at Italian Homes Italian Homes LLC/Nicoletti & Calia. Vincent, married to Tracy McLean-Scocuzza, graduated from UNCG with a BS in International Business. He helps his wife with activities for the Greensboro Medical Society, such as the recent “Closing the Gap Health Fair in August. Reading, traveling, listening to classical music, and discovering new things are his passions. He says that his curiosity is what drives him – and he is always on the move.  His classification is Furniture/Wholesale.
